Univera Healthcare names seasoned upstate NY hospital leader Martin Stallone, M.D., as Executive Vice President, Chief Healthcare Services Officer

Martin Stallone, M.D., has been named Executive Vice President, Chief Healthcare Services Officer of Univera Healthcare and its parent company, The Lifetime Healthcare Companies.
Stallone is currently CEO of Centralus Health. He will start his new role on Dec. 1, 2025.
“As a local, nonprofit health plan, we increasingly partner with hospital systems and provider practices to help improve community health while tackling the growing challenge of rising healthcare costs,” said Jim Reed, CEO and president of The Lifetime Healthcare Companies.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Stallone to our team,” he added. “His clinical leadership in health care delivery, combined with his understanding of our regional health systems, will help us drive innovation and deepen our provider partnerships to better serve our communities in Western New York.”
Centralus Health is a healthcare system formed through the affiliation of Cayuga Health and Arnot Health. It encompasses five hospitals serving communities across New York’s Southern Tier, Finger Lakes and Central New York regions.
In addition to his role as CEO of Centralus Health, Dr. Stallone served in a variety of leadership positions during his 17 years at Cayuga Health.
In his new role, Dr. Stallone will focus on efforts to improve our community’s access to high-quality care that’s as affordable as possible. He will oversee:
- The plan’s healthcare-related functions including pharmacy services, provider network, quality programs and medical services including member care management.
- Innovative efforts to more closely align providers, insurers and other health care partners – leading to better access, quality of care and affordability
Dr. Stallone received his Doctor of Medicine and his Master of Business Administration degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds degrees from the U.S. Naval War College and Cornell University. He is an Air Force Colonel and the New York State Air Surgeon for the New York Air National Guard. He resides in Ithaca with his wife, Ami, and their six sons.
