The recognition reflects commitment to accessibility, inclusion and equitable experiences for employees, members and communities

BUFFALO, NY – Univera Healthcare has been recognized as a 2026 World’s Top Disability Inclusive Business by the Disability Index®, the leading independent benchmark for measuring disability inclusion in businesses worldwide.

The recognition honors organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering inclusive workplaces and creating accessible experiences for employees, members, customers and the communities they serve. Univera Healthcare earned this distinction through ongoing efforts to integrate disability inclusion across its culture, business operations and member experience.

“Creating an environment where everyone can thrive is fundamental to who we are as a health plan and community partner,” said Paul Valley, president, Univera Healthcare. “Disability inclusion is about removing barriers, listening to the needs of the people and communities we serve, and ensuring that every interaction—with our members, employees, community members and community partners—is grounded in respect, accessibility and opportunity. We’re proud of this recognition, but even more proud of the people across our organization who help bring these values to life every day.”

The Disability Index evaluates organizations across a range of categories, including leadership, workplace culture, accessibility, benefits, talent acquisition, career advancement, accommodations, supplier partnerships and communications. This recognition is a testament to the commitment of Univera Healthcare employees who work every day to cultivate a culture of belonging, accessibility and opportunity for people of all abilities.

Examples of those efforts include:
