When Glenn Deverell joined the company more than 44 years ago, he likely never imagined the impact he would have on generations of employees, members and the community in Western New York.

As a Facilities Technician at Univera Healthcare, Glenn's work often happens behind the scenes. But those who know him understand that his contributions extend far beyond maintaining a building. For more than four decades, Glenn has helped ensure our organization can fulfill its mission every day, making certain our facilities operate smoothly so teams can focus on supporting the communities we serve.

From keeping our offices running efficiently to supporting community initiatives, Glenn has been an essential part of the team throughout much of our 50-year history.

Always ready to lend a hand

Glenn's role has evolved over the years, but one thing has remained constant: his willingness to step up wherever he's needed.

Whether he's loading and driving the Univera Healthcare van to deliver donations to a community-based organization, assembling a bicycle for a giveaway, preparing for special events, or stepping in to solve an unexpected problem, Glenn approaches every task with the same dedication and care.

In fact, colleagues often say there's never a task or inquiry Glenn can't accomplish. No matter what's needed, he finds a way to get it done, and he does it all with a smile, a chuckle, and a positive attitude that makes even the busiest days a little brighter.

Supporting our mission in countless ways

Behind every successful organization are people who quietly make everyone else's job easier. Glenn is one of those people.

Over the years, Glenn has become known as the eyes and ears of the organization. He knows who to call and where to go. Whether the task requires physical strength, practical know-how, or thoughtful advice, Glenn is always ready to help.

He's also known for the conversations he shares along the way. Colleagues value not only his knowledge and dependability, but also his sense of humor, practical life advice, and genuine interest in others. Many describe him as the "perfect teammate, someone who can handle heavy lifting, whether physical or mental, while making everyone around him feel supported."

As one coworker shared, "He makes sure I'm safe when I come in early before everyone else. He knows what we need to be successful, and he always has good conversation."
